What is Model United Nations?

Model United Nations (MUN) is a simulation of the United Nations in which participants take on the roles of delegates representing assigned countries. They prepare their country’s position and then, during the conference, give speeches, negotiate, build coalitions and work together on resolutions addressing some of the world’s most important global challenges. Everything takes place in English and follows procedures modeled on international diplomacy.

What will MUN New York 2027 be like?

During the sessions, you’ll present your country’s position, negotiate with other delegates, find allies and work together on draft resolutions. Committees are led by experienced MUN experts from leading universities around the world.

One of the most unique aspects of the conference is its close connection to the real world of the United Nations.Participants work with UN materials and documents and may have the opportunity to interact with diplomats, NGO representatives and experts.
